Replacement of Brother Cartridges is No More a Sturdy Task Now!
Are you running low on toner in your Brother printer and having problem installing the new toner? Your Brother laser printer indicates that your printer toner is out. When you notice that the output quality of your Brother printer is failing and not looking good as before, you need to change it urgently to fix the problem. It is essential to replace a toner cartridge in a laser printer for better quality prints and it is an important aspect of regular maintenance. Here are some of the steps given below to learn how to replace the toner cartridge at the early stage of fading or unclear prints.
Find a Toner Cartridge Replacement
First of all, find out which type of cartridge your Brother laser printer needs. With the specific brand name there are various types for many printer styles. Generally, the type used by the Brother printer may slightly vary by a particular letter or digit, like, the MFC-8820D vs. the MFC-8820DN model. Even some models are available in more than one size for different page yields. Usually, the prices are higher for more page yield option, but the advantage is that it will run longer and delay the replacement of the toner. Whatever may be your choice, make sure that whenever you have purchased a new toner, do not break open the toner cap until you are sure to dispose of the existing one.
Safely Remove the Empty Toner Cartridge
Removing the printer toner cartridge is a great lesson to learn. For this, you can refer to the guide book to ensure that you are not making any mistake on taking out the cartridge. Be very cautious when moving the most delicate parts like the toner even it is run out so that you avoid spoiling any part by mistake.
You can get started with by opening the cap so the toner is showing up and the cartridge is observed to verify if any clips are fastening it in place. If you have no clear idea about the clips or hooks, do refer to the guidebook.
Setting up new Toner
Now, when the time comes to put the new toner, you must do it carefully. Take a new Brother Toner cartridge and shake it gently. Then remove the tape and insert it into the laser toner printer, lining it up along with the arrows. Finally, push down well to make sure that it is locked properly.
You might have some experience to place the new one if you were careful when taking out the old Brother cartridge. If you have considered the sophisticated parts and complications, there would be no problem on putting a new toner cartridge whenever you need.

hp1350 all in one printer continues to print a test sheet every time I turn my printer on.?
My hp1350 all in one printer continues to print a test sheet every time I turn my printer on.
This all started after I upgraded to Internet Explorer 7 and found out that Internet Explorer 7 did not recognize this printer.
I removed Explorer 7 and went back to Explorer 6.
My printer now works but seems to delay a few minutes before printing.
I have removed and re-installed the HP printer software twice but I have the same problems.
I have installed a new cartridge.
I have seen instructions on the internet to reapply Factory Settings
after opening HP Director as a fix.
I can not find HP Director.
What are the steps to locate HP Director?
Any suggestions for a fix.
Thanks Michael
I also own this printer and have had a similar problem. Like you, it worked fine for months until one day it started spitting out a test page every time I turned it on. I tried everything with the software and searched HP's website for an answer, to no avail.
I came up with two solutions to the problem: 1) Take the paper out so it has nothing to print to when you start up. You'll get an error, but should be able to clear it and then you're fine. 2) Just leave it on all the time (which is what I do now.) You might spend a few extra cents on electricity while it's in standby mode, but you'll save a ton in ink cartridges.
(FYI, I've got my 1350 hooked up to an eMac. It's a temperamental printer/scanner on its good days.)
