You should connect the wires with the correct polarity. You should cover the face of the solar panel with paper or cardboard while installing it. The roof should be strong to support the array and the panels should be at least 8 inches away from the edge of the roof. You should be careful when drilling holes. You should take care that you are not drilling into any interior wiring. You should keep the panels covered until you are ready to store up energy.
