What is the name of this cable, used to connect 2 points when soldering?
this may seem like a stupid question to those who know about soldering, but i don't know much about soldering, other than the basic, melting soldering wire with a soldering gun, don't know much other than that, if there even is MUCH TO KNOW beyond that point, lol. My basic question tho is, what is the cable called you used to connect between to different things, in my case, between a chip on a modem board, & a Jtag cable.

Just wondering the name for them, wanna say conductive wire, but that's just me taking an educated guess, wanna make sure I know what to ask for when I stop by radio shack or wherever to try & pick some up, thanks.
They are just generic wires, although you need to know size which looks to be about 20 gauge, it can also be stranded or solid, it can be pure copper, pure silver, oxygen free copper alloy, etc.
So it looks like you're going to clone a cable modem, hack into it, and steal Internet from cable company!? Naughty naughty!
